"It's unacceptable" - Wolves star ahead of Leeds United test with frank declaration and apology …

A Wolves star has made a very frank admission ahead of Saturday’s Leeds United test.

Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci has made a very frank admission and unacceptable declaration about his side ahead of Saturday’s clash against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Wolves remain well adrift of safety at the bottom of the Premier League table but the Old Gold went into last Friday night’s game at West Ham on an improved run of form having lost just one of their last six league games.

The clash at the London Stadium, though, produced the team’s joint-heaviest defeat of the season, Wolves blitzed 4-0 by the Irons and centre-back Krejci labelling the concession of four goals as “unacceptable”.

The Czech Republic international defender said the clash at West Ham had been targeted as a game to kick on from as he admitted post match that he “did not know” what would be next and that his mean would have to try and find a solution ahead of this weekend’s return to action at Leeds.

“It’s unacceptable”

Speaking to the official Wolverhampton Wanderers website, Krejci said: “From the beginning I thought we were the better team, we had more space, I felt we could be better on the ball, but at some moment in the first half we stopped moving and finding the right solutions and let them score from one situation.

“In the second half from our mistakes we give them the chances and it’s unacceptable how many goals we conceded. From our side, we apologise to the fans, not just for this game, but we know our situation and it won’t help us in the table. We could get closer, but we didn’t.

“The situations that we created, we gave them the chance to score, from our side. I don’t want to point fingers because we were all there, in those situations, but we cannot do that at this level.”

Pushed on a tough task now ahead, Krejci admitted: “I don’t know because my full focus, and I believe of others in the club, was that this game was the one which could change the whole thing. It didn’t happen, so lets meet again next week and try to find a solution.”
