Newcastle United have launched a season ticket waiting list following discussions between David Hopkinson and FAB.
Newcastle United have launched a season ticket waiting list and confirmed that at least 250 will be made available ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Not since the 1990s and the early 2000s have the Magpies organised a waiting list, but there has been an unprecedented demand for match tickets since the PIF-led takeover in October 2021.
From May 18 to May 31, Mags, Mags+ and Junior Mags members can finally register for the opportunity to purchase season tickets for future seasons. The new initiative has been developed following fan consultation and requests made to the Fan Advisory Board.

Chairman of the Fan Advisory Board, Michael McCarthy, said: “We know how important season tickets are for our supporters and the demand to purchase these.
“Following requests from supporter groups and individuals to the FAB, we created a proposal on the season ticket waiting list initiative. We presented this to the club and the benefits of creating a waiting list, and we are delighted the feedback has been actioned.
“This will give fans the opportunity to add their name to a season ticket waiting list and the FAB would like to place on record our thanks to all supporters for their feedback and suggestions.

“We would also like to thank the club who have supported this initiative by launching it ahead of the new season.”
A minimum of 250 season tickets will be made available to supporters on the waiting list for the 2026-27 season. Should a current season ticket holder choose not to renew, their seat will be made available to the next person on the waiting list.
Fans registering their interest to join the waiting list will be able to view their position on the waiting list in their ticketing account.
There will be a priority system in place, ranging from tier one to seven. Priority One requires a membership for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 season, and entered the ballot or bought a ticket for 75% or more for Premier League fixtures during those two seasons.
