Leeds United and Everton credited with interest Middlesbrough’s on-loan Newcastle United defender Matt Targett
Middlesbrough loan star Matt Targett has reportedly attracted interest from Leeds United and Everton.
The 30-year-old was sent to the Riverside last summer having tumbled down the pecking order at Newcastle. He has enjoyed a new lease of life in the Championship, impressing over the course of his 38 appearances.
However, the left-back faces an uncertain future with his Newcastle contract due to expire at the end of the season.

Leeds United linked with Middlesbrough loanee
According to TEAMtalk, Targett is of interest to Premier League clubs Leeds and Everton as the expiry of his Magpies deal edges closer.
Leeds are said to be keen on securing cover for Sweden international Gabriel Gudmundsson, while Everton reportedly want to strengthen in the left-back area with amid uncertainty over the future of Vitaliy Mykolenko.
It has been suggested that Middlesbrough would like Targett to stay put but that their chances of securing his signature are likely to hinge on their fate in the Championship.
