Florian Wirtz says the Liverpool squad owe it to the club and the fans to secure Champions League football next season.
The Reds exited Europe's premier competition at the quarter-final stage on Tuesday night as holders Paris Saint-Germain won 2-0 at Anfield to triumph 4-0 across the two legs.
And having been knocked out of the FA Cup earlier this month by Manchester City at the same stage, Wirtz believes the players must finish the term strongly to ensure they don't miss out on the Champions League,

“The focus goes completely to the end of the season for the league,” Wirtz told Liverpoolfc.com.
“We have to play [in the] Champions League next season, we owe this to the club and to the fans.
"We will give our best, like we did today, and hopefully we can make minimum the top five.“We tried everything. I think the whole stadium was on fire and the fans, big compliments to them.“We tried everything from the first minute, but we needed that one goal to get the turnaround started.
"We were just missing the goal. That’s football – when you don’t score goals, you don’t win games.”
Arne Slot's side return to Premier League action on Sunday, with a trip to Everton for the first Merseyside derby at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Liverpool head into the week in the fifth and final Champions League spot in the Premier League, four clear of Chelsea, who entertain Manchester United on Saturday night.
