Daniel Farke calls on Leeds fans to help them against Wolves

On paper, Leeds United have their easiest league game of the season on Saturday, at home to the team bottom of the table. In reality, Daniel Farke says they will need the supporters more than ever.

On Monday Leeds won at Manchester United for the first time since 1981, putting them six points clear of the relegation zone with six matches to play.

Now Farke has to guard against an "After the Lord Mayor's Show" performance against a Wolverhampton Wanderers who are actually in good form now their relegation is all-but assured, and he wants Elland Road to help.

"We have to make sure that we don't lose nerves and stay focused and stay concentrated," said manager Farke.

"But with this group, it's relatively easy because I've got top characters, also experienced players who are fully aware that after a big win, it's not like you just have a 95 per cent chance in the next game.

"Everyone is aware that we need 100 per cent again and this is also the atmosphere that we need in the whole stadium. All the supporters were able to celebrate such a big win and we have brought ourselves into a really good position.

"We will need them in this game, perhaps even more than in the Man United game because there it was clear we have to give everything. So it's important that we also create an atmosphere where from the first to the last second, we get the support and no one in the stadium gets nervous.

"We don't have to win the game after 10 minutes.

"We want the correct result after 90-plus minutes and we need our supporters, especially in this game, perhaps even more. Together with them, we want to achieve something special during the season, of course in the FA Cup, but even more so like in our bread and butter business.

"This is the Premier League.

"We want to make sure that we can also celebrate nights like Monday or so next season on Premier League level. And for that, we need our supporters to carry us also through this game, through difficult periods and perhaps when not everything goes to plan - even more than perhaps in any other games during the season.

"And together with them, then we have a chance to add the next points."

Leeds have no fresh injuries concerns, with Ao Tanaka recovered from cramp picked up on Monday and Gabriel Gudmundsson suffering no reaction from his recent injury.

Farke even left the door open for one or more from Joe Rodon, Anton Stach and Daniel James to put themselves in contention, although none trained on Thursday.
