Wood made his comeback in last week’s first leg and also came on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at the weekend.
Ahead of tonight’s game, he’s been put up for media duties and admitted he’s hopeful one player can help Vitor Pereira before the season is over.
Chris Wood praises Igor Jesus ahead of Porto clash
Wood has had to watch from the sidelines as Jesus leads the Forest front line, and in the Premier League, he’s managed just three goals.
Jesus has been brilliant in the Europa League, and he will hope to be among the goals again tonight to further enhance his chances of winning the Golden Boot.
Wood has been quizzed on his fellow striker at the City Ground, and it seems that he’s trying to give Jesus a confidence boost going into the home stretch.

He said in his press conference: “He’s been fantastic playing as much as he has done, especially off the back of the Club World Cup.
“I’m banking on him getting a few more goals before the end of the season to help us all out.”
Jesus and Wood give Forest a lot of competition in attack, and that can only bode well between now and the end of the season.
Wood is clearly the difference maker for Forest, based on what he did last season, but having him around the squad can only be useful for Jesus.
Forest have been hapless at scoring goals this season and the fan base will share Wood’s hopes that Jesus can weigh in with a few more between now and the season finishing.
