Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat when they clash with Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Reds have nothing left to play for this season except securing a Champions League place, but the teams below them, including the Toffees, remain close to catching Arne Slot’s inconsistent side.
The gap between Liverpool and Chelsea could be reduced this weekend as well if Gary Neville and Paul Scholes’ prediction that the game will end as a draw comes true.

Everton vs Liverpool expected to an end as draw
The latest episode of The Overlap saw Neville and Scholes predicting the weekend’s Premier League results against Roy Keane and Ian Wright.
The two former Manchester United players said that the latest Merseyside derby will end 1-1.
Wright and Keane also backed a draw, but predicted a final score of 2-2, neither of which would be ideal for Liverpool.
Chelsea play Manchester United on Saturday and a win for the Blues would put them a point behind the Reds ahead of their game the following day.

Brentford are also still able to catch Liverpool, who have a tricky end to the season against multiple teams they are fighting with to secure the fifth and final top-tier European place.
In turn, anything but a win against Everton could put Liverpool and Slot under serious pressure ahead of what is going to be a tricky run-in.
But given how the Reds’ campaign has gone so far, Liverpool coming out on top this weekend is by no means guaranteed, even if their overall record against their old rivals is impressive.
The current Premier League champions have won 127 of the previous meetings compared to Everton’s 84.
Liverpool’s dominance has been especially clear in recent years, losing just two of the fixtures in all competitions since 2010.
The Toffees’ last victory came on April 24, 2024, when Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jarrad Branthwaite scored in a 2-0 win.
