Jayden Bogle sent a timely reminder to Leeds United that he is not a busted flush and can still play a big part in their future at Elland Road.
Bogle has struck gold at Leeds since joining from Sheffield United in 2024.
He helped guide the Whites to the Championship title last year, scoring six goals and bagging five assists in 44 appearances.
The defender has been able to hold his own in the Premier League despite outside doubts, something that, arguably, wasn’t the case at Sheffield United in two seasons.
After jostling for position with James Justin in recent weeks, the Leeds ace put in a terrific display against Manchester United in their famous 2-1 win at Old Trafford, as if to say, “I’m still here.”

Jayden Bogle vs James Justin
In the first half of the season, there were no doubts around Leeds’ number one right back.
But over time, those waters have become a bit more muddied. Bogle’s performances haven’t always been up to scratch, and away at Crystal Palace, Daniel Farke preferred Justin at right wing-back.

Justin is the more versatile player. He can play on both sides of defence, as well as at centre-back.
Bogle has the attacking edge, but when that was up for debate, the 25-year-old needed to knuckle down and prove Farke wrong.
That happened at Old Trafford, as Bogle barely put a foot wrong as he and fellow wing-back Gabriel Gudmundsson ran Man United ragged on their own patch.
Bogle whipped in some teasing crosses and was a willing runner, as Luke Shaw struggled to deal with the gallivanting defender.

Leeds took a giant step towards Premier League safety on Monday night. If they stay up, more quality will be needed.
If Leeds are to grow, some players will be left behind.
When Joe Rodon is back fit, will Bogle stay at right wing-back over Justin? He has the chance to put that question beyond doubt in the coming weeks.
If Leeds want to become a top 10 team again, Bogle could be such a casualty.
While Premier League survival is far from guaranteed, performances like the Man United one highlight how there is more to come from Bogle. A couple more goals and assists along the way wouldn’t hurt, mind.
Leeds must build on Man United win
After Leeds beat Michael Carrick and the Red Devils, many pundits and fans alike have declared that they will stay up.
But after being thumped 4-0 by West Ham last Friday, Wolves will want to deliver a swift and telling response at Elland Road, even though they seem destined to get relegated.
Bogle was arguably Leeds’ best player against Man United, with the defender likely to be part of an unchanged side on Saturday.

What bodes well for Leeds is that they have won their last four Premier League matches against Wolves; however, they have failed to score in four of their last five matches at Elland Road.
Moreover, Wolves have only lost one of their last five away league games against Leeds (three wins and one draw), but that defeat was on their last visit in August 2022.
If Leeds want to stay up, they simply have to win this game. Then, they can maybe start focusing on an FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea, with Bournemouth away also before that.
