Everton are in talks to sign Grealish permanently following his season-long loan deal from Manchester City.

“I messaged Matt Targett because I’m close with him from Villa and I said to him, ‘Can you message him for me and say to him that I apologise’,” Grealish previously told TNT Sports.
“I thought the video was private. But even in private I shouldn’t have said it because he’s a fellow professional.”

The 30-year-old landed on Merseyside with close connections to the likes of Jordan Pickford, but it could now be Grealish helping to convince a new signing to Merseyside.
Everton are likely to need a new left-back, with Vitalii Mykolenko wanted by two Bundesliga sides this summer.
Just like Mykolenko, Targett is set to become a free agent, when his deal with Newcastle United concludes.
Perhaps Grealish can put in a good word with the 30-year-old to bring him to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
