David Moyes has played down talk over a new Everton contract.
Next up for Everton is the Merseyside Derby and Moyes is well aware of what is at stake over the final six games of the season.

His efforts in getting the Blues among the mix at this stage of the season have not gone unnoticed, with speculation growing over a potential new contract for the 62-year-old.

David Moyes reacts to possible new Everton contract
There is an expectation that Everton will offer Moyes a new contract in the summer.
The veteran manager still has a year remaining on his current deal, but there is a sense that he deserves to be rewarded for a magnificent season so far.

“There’s no need to start any talks now because I’ve got too much on my mind. As I said, these six games will be crucial for how things go,” Moyes told the media.
“I want everyone to be in this position every year, having a chance at the top places. So, it’s not that important to me at the moment whilst we’re in this situation.”
Moyes has admitted he wants to win trophies at Everton following a recent comparison to the great Harry Catterick.
The 62-year-old has done a fine job since he returned to Merseyside last January, but there are bigger things on his mind currently than a new deal.
Qualifying for Europe is the ultimate prize for Everton this season and it is something that Moyes set as the target last summer.
Moyes has pulled Everton out of the relegation battle from years gone by, but a new deal is the last thing on his mind.
