Justin Rose has issued a challenge to Tommy Fleetwood for a match at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of The Open at Royal Birkdale. The club are offering visitors the opportunity to play golf from the upper tier of their new ground this summer, and Rose is keen to participate.
Upper Deck Golf is transforming the stadium into a driving range for four days in mid-July - dates which overlap with The Open. The company operates events at American football and baseball venues throughout the United States.
The visit to Bramley-Moore Dock will mark their first venture outside North America. Their announcement on Thursday captured Rose's attention.

He shared it on X, then quoted the club's post and wrote, "I'm in the area that week!! Fancy a match @TommyFleetwood1 before the @TheOpen ?? Sure @ Everton can sort us a tee time!!"
Fleetwood has not yet replied publicly, though Everton have. They responded: "You are both very welcome – we look forward to seeing you at our world-class waterfront home!"
As an Everton supporter, Fleetwood may well be keen to accept Rose and the club's invitation. Tee times run from 7am to 9pm across four days on Thursday 16, Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July.

The duo could turn up following their rounds or even beforehand if they have especially late tee-off times. Everton's chief revenue officer, Aaron Duckmanton, would presumably welcome their attendance.
Duckmanton said in the club's announcement: "We are delighted to be bringing Upper Deck Golf to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
"It's an experience that has been delivered at some of the world's most iconic venues, and this is a great opportunity for people to see our new home from a completely different perspective.
"With The Open Championship taking place nearby, events like this bring something unique to the city – whether that's hitting shots from the upper tiers down onto the pitch or enjoying the clubhouse-style atmosphere, activities and challenges around the venue.
"It's a fresh and memorable way to engage with the stadium during one of golf's most historic tournaments.
"We've always said we want the stadium to be more than just a matchday venue, and events like this show how we can use the space in new and innovative ways, attract different audiences and keep it active all year round."
