“Carlo was incredible. I think he was the best I’ve ever seen at keeping a whole squad happy. He was just such a legend and a good guy,” said Keane.
“His staff were amazing as well, including Davide, his son. Obviously, when someone like Carlo brings his son in as a coach, you think, “Is it just because he’s his son?” But honestly, he was a joke. He was one of the best coaches I’ve had.”
Among a host of other players, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has also praised Carlo Ancelotti for the way he was able to keep all of the squad happy at Everton.
Fans will wonder just how far the Italian could have taken the club had he seen out another couple of years of Merseyside.
Ancelotti has promised to visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the future and it is apparent his son would also be warmly welcomed back to the club.
Davide is currently still working under his father as the assistant manager to the Brazil national side.
However, it is apparent that a senior management role is on the horizon for him given the praise that has been directed his way.
