It is one of the few Liverpool Premier League goalscoring records that Mohamed Salah doesn't possess.
Because as he goes into , the Reds' talisman's haul of eight goals in the fixture is one shy of Steven Gerrard's Premier League record of nine, something he'll be desperate to put right on Sunday at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Salah has been a persistent thorn in Everton's side down the years, only finishing on the losing side against the Blues twice in his 14 league derbies.
Those games have produced some special moments in front of goal, and here are those eight derby strikes ranked.
8. Penalty, 75th minute - Liverpool 2-0 Everton - October 21, 2023 (1st goal)
We'll start with a penalty, albeit one with plenty of pressure on it. Everton had had Ashley Young sent off in the first half at Anfield, but had been holding out with 10 men right up until the 75th minute when Michael Keane handled a Luis Diaz cross in the box. Up stepped Salah, who dispatched his kick into Pickford's left corner at the Kop end to spark celebrations that were more in relief than anything. (Image: Getty Images) 1 of 8
2. ### 7. Wrapping it up, 90+7th minute - Liverpool 2-0 Everton - October 21, 2023 (2nd goal)
As the 10 men of Everton pushed for a way back into the game they were always vulnerable at Anfield, and so it proved. A Blues attack broke down at the feet of Alexis Mac Allister, and after he sent Darwin Nunez scurrying away into the Everton half, the Uruguayan laid the ball off for Salah to seal victory at the Kop end. It wouldn't be his last derby after a scintillating break... (Image: PA) 2 of 8
3. ### 6. Right footed finish, 73rd minute - Everton 2-2 Liverpool - February 12, 2025
The final Goodison Park derby would end with James Tarkowski's spectacular equaliser, but prior to that Salah thought he'd won it with his precise finish. Beto and Mac Allister had traded first half goals before, with Liverpool second best, Curtis Jones' effort was pushed out by Pickford straight to Salah, who controlled then fired home with his weaker right foot. Jones, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Arne Slot and Sipke Hulshoff would all end up getting red cards on a wild night. (Image: Getty Images) 3 of 8
4. ### 5. First time finish, 72nd minute - Everton 2-2 Liverpool - October 17, 2020
The story of second derby to be played behind closed doors in 2020 was dominated by the injury to Virgil van Dijk following Pickford's challenge.
Sadio Mane and Michael Keane had both found the net within the opening 20 minutes, before Salah superbly fired home a first time shot 18 minutes from time after Yerry Mina's poor attempted clearance.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin then levelled again for the Blues, before Jordan Henderson was denied a last gasp winner by VAR and Richarlison was sent off. Eventful stuff.
