Everton are taking on Liverpool in the first ever Merseyside Derby at Hill Dickinson Stadium – and David Moyes has named his starting XI.
The Toffees have the chance to close the gap on their rivals to just two points today, and can move up to sixth in the table.

Results elsewhere yesterday meant that Everton slipped a couple of places to 10th.
But things are extremely tight, and Everton are in a very good moment right now.
Today’s derby is extra special, being the first to take place at Hill Dickinson Stadium – and David Moyes has now chosen the 11 players who’ll start the game this afternoon.

Everton start with Jordan Pickford in goal, with a back four of Jake O’Brien, James Tarkowski, Jarrad Branthwaite and Vitalii Mykolenko.
In midfield, it’s the usual duo of James Garner and Idrissa Gana Gueye, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall operating just ahead.

Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil are out wide with Beto through the middle.
So it’s an unchanged XI from Brentford.
There had been calls from some for Tyrique George to start after his lively cameo against Brentford. But Moyes has resisted temptation and kept faith with McNeil.
Charly Alcaraz does replace Seamus Coleman on the bench though after recovering from his injury, with the Argentine looking for his first minutes since the end of January.
Hill Dickinson Stadium could have its best moment
An electric atmosphere has been building outside Hill Dickinson ahead of kick-off with fans lining the streets to welcome the team bus, and it’s expected to be boisterous once the game starts.
Everton have nothing to fear today. The players have been doing a great job in recent weeks and have picked up some good results under Moyes.
The performance in the last home game against Chelsea was particularly impressive, and ideally we’ll see that replicated today.
Liverpool pitch up today having shown real inconsistency this term, and the Toffees are well capable of getting all three points.
And that would see Hill Dickinson Stadium have its best moment to date.
