Dewsbury-Hall hammers Everton teammate after 95th minute moment vs Liverpool

Everton were left heartbroken after Liverpool stole all three points in the 110th minute.

It was largely an undeserved victory after a solid display from the Toffees, but late heartache was admittedly brewing after a few sloppy decisions from Everton in the final minutes.

One of those poor decisions was made by Tyrique George in the 95th minute, and left Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall furious with the Chelsea loanee.

What went wrong there for Everton? 😫

Heartbreak for the Blues in the derby

Beto of Everton leaves the pitch due to a injury during the Premier League match between Everton and Liverpool at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall spotted hammering Tyrique George after failing to give him an option

Everton were in a promising position down the left flank deep into stoppage time, with George and Dewsbury-Hall, who know each other well from their time at Chelsea, posing Liverpool an issue on that side.

However, the Chelsea loanee showed a bit of laziness and took his time to get back onside as Dewsbury-Hall desperately urged him to come back and give him a passing option, under pressure from two Liverpool players.

The Everton No.22 eventually had no option but to give George the ball, and let his anger out when the offside flag unsurprisingly went up and the attack broke down.

Having only stepped off the bench in the 80th minute, the 20-year-old should have been full of energy, so David Moyes will surely be frustrated at the apparent laziness on show.

Reports say Everton want to see more from George before committing to a permanent deal this summer – the obligation to buy the England U21 international is understood to be worth around £25m.

We presume that stance remains the same after his disappointing cameo against Liverpool, in which he failed to complete a dribble, record a shot, a cross or make a key pass – he also completed just two passes.

We are by no means blaming the defeat on George, but Moyes surely would have liked to see more from his No.19 late into the game, when his pace and tendency to be direct could have caused Liverpool more problems.
