Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher found himself on the receiving end of a torrent of abuse ahead of Sunday's historic Merseyside derby. The Reds made their first visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium since Everton relocated to their new ground.
It proved to be a dramatic afternoon, with Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk heading home a stoppage-time winner. Mohamed Salah and Beto had scored goals after Iliman Ndiaye saw a strike disallowed by VAR.
Carragher was also caught up in an incident prior to kick-off. As he made his way around the stadium to reach his position in the Sky Sports studio, he was subjected to a stream of comments from one particularly vocal supporter.
They were heard shouting: "F*** off Carra, you soft c***" before then screaming "F*** off you k***head".
The Liverpool icon was visibly seen responding to the taunts and became briefly engaged in an exchange before ultimately choosing to disregard the remaining comments and continuing on his way.

Carragher had the last laugh, though, courtesy of Van Dijk's winner. Reflecting on Liverpool's triumph, Carragher said: "The result is absolutely huge for Liverpool when you consider the Chelsea result yesterday.
"When that board went up for 11 minutes, I'd have shook with anyone and taken a point from a Liverpool point of view. With the situation with the goalkeeper, Everton were a little bit more threatening. Liverpool were a small team towards the end of that game and I was fearful of set-pieces.
"When you think of how Liverpool have won this game - two of the absolute legends of the club have done it. They won't be here much longer. Salah and probably Van Dijk in 12 months' time.
"Two of the absolute greats. Salah has done it again against Liverpool's biggest rivals, as he always does. Against Everton or Man Utd, you can always rely upon him."
