Liverpool and other top-flight clubs are reportedly tracking Enzo Le Fée after his standout Sunderland season
Sunderland could face a significant challenge to retain Enzo Le Fée this summer, with fresh reports suggesting growing interest from clubs competing at the top end of the Premier League.
According to TEAMtalk, several sides currently pushing for Champions League qualification - including Liverpool - are monitoring the midfielder’s situation following his impressive season on Wearside.
The 26-year-old has been one of Sunderland’s standout performers during their Premier League campaign, contributing four goals and six assists in 31 appearances while showcasing his technical quality, vision and composure in midfield.
However, Liverpool are not alone in their interest. The report claims a number of other top-flight clubs with European ambitions are also keeping a close eye on developments, potentially setting up a competitive market for his signature. Sunderland, for their part, are said to be keen to protect their position by offering improved contracts to key players.
Le Fée is said to fall firmly into that category, alongside team-mate Noah Sadiki. Despite the growing interest, the report adds that Le Fée is currently happy at Sunderland. That said, the opportunity to join one of the Premier League’s elite clubs could prove difficult to turn down if a formal approach is made.
Le Fée joined Sunderland on a permanent deal last summer after an initial loan spell, with the club paying around £20million to AS Roma. The midfielder signed a contract running until 2029, underlining Sunderland’s long-term commitment to the player following his impressive impact during his first season on Wearside.
