The new Liverpool home shirt for the 2026/27 season appears to have been leaked online ahead of its official release.

Details of Liverpool’s brand new home kit for the forthcoming 2026/27 season appear to have leaked online, with an image of the player’s version of the jersey appearing on social media – while alleged details of the away shirt have also been made available via digital mock-ups.

Footy Headlines claim to have obtained a photograph of next season’s home kit, with details available below, and has also previously published information regarding the apparent look of the club’s next away kit as well. 3 Added Minutes has not been able to verify the alleged leaks at the time of publication.

What Liverpool’s new home 2026/27 home kit looks like – according to leaks

The new shirt, a photograph of which can be seen on the right of the social media post above, seems set to feature a vibrant white pattern across the otherwise red body of the kit which harks back to the Candy-sponsored jersey worn by the club between 1989 and 1991.

The Adidas kit, the primary colour of which is apparently ‘active maroon,’ will also feature the manufacturer’s traditional white stripes across the shoulders as well as a thin band of white around the collar and the sleeves, with the club crest, manufacturer’s logo and sponsor also picked out in white.

According to Footy Headlines, the players’ version of the kit will have no patterning immediately around the sponsor’s logo, while the replica shirt which will go on sale to the public this summer will have no break in the patterning.

The kit is expected to be released in May or June this year and the retro-inspired look seems set to go down well with the fans, with a positive reaction greeting initial leaks of the new design: One fan on X described the jersey as a “home run,” a sentiment which seems to have caught the general mood.

Alleged Liverpool away kit details also circulating

While no photos of the new away kit have yet been leaked online, several online publications have agreed that the 2026/27 away shirt will be white with red trim, again mirroring the away kit used between 1989 and 1991 at the same time as the jersey which inspired the new edition of Liverpool’s home shirt - the original of which is sported by Ian Rush, Ronnie Whelan and Alan Hansen in the picture above.

Digital mock-ups, based on unverified leaks, suggest that the alternate shield version of the club crest will be in use, alongside the Adidas trefoil logo. No official images have yet been circulated online, however, leaving the precise details of the shirt uncertain.

The away jersey seems set to use a ‘cleaner’ white colour than the cream version in use by the team in the current season, and there does not appear to be any black trim as is the case with the 2025/26 kit – otherwise, it appears set to be a fairly straightforward, traditional Liverpool strip. An early leak also suggests that Liverpool will wear red pre-match shirts to start the season, with a mottled patterning which brings bright red and maroon together.

While details of the new shirts have yet to be officially unveiled and the leaks remain unproven, we now appear to have a clearer idea of how Arne Slot’s side will look when they take to the field in August - not that it’s certain that their manager will still be in charge at the time.
