Liverpool are preparing to reignite their interest in one Sunderland star this summer, as Arne Slot looks to refresh his squad for the new season.
The Merseyside club are set to lose Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson on free transfers once the current campaign ends, while several other players have been linked with exits, and a number of new arrivals are anticipated, following a disappointing year in which they currently sit fifth in the Premier League.
There have been question marks over the attack in particular, with Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak struggling in their first seasons after British record moves, while Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa are also tipped to leave, which has seen the club step up their interest in an old target.
Liverpool Eyeing Move for Enzo Le Fee

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Liverpool have been impressed by the performances of Sunderland star Enzo Le Fee this season, and are ready to step up their interest in him once more.
The French playmaker, dubbed a 'magician', has had a fine individual campaign for the Black Cats since turning his loan move from AS Roma permanent, helping Regis Le Bris' team to comfortably avoid a return to the Championship, where they currently sit 11th in the table, just two points behind sixth-placed Chelsea.
Liverpool are understood to be monitoring his situation closely, but Sunderland have no intention of letting the 26-year-old move on, as they look to improve on their season this year, and continue to push for European qualification.
Sunderland would be willing to offer Le Fee a lucrative new contract to extend his stay beyond 2029, but FSG are big fans of the midfield sensation and are prepared to try and convince him to make the switch to Anfield. It's also understood that while he is very happy at the Stadium of Light, Le Fee would find it hard to turn down a move to one of the Premier League's elite clubs.
Le Fee Could Be Shrewd Business
Arne Slot
Liverpool look set to keep hold of Slot for next season despite a disappointing campaign, which means players who haven't been trusted much this year are unlikely to have a future.
Reports suggest the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones could leave, and the arrival of Le Fee would see them replaced well, and likely for a much smaller fee, with a player who is hungry and ready to impress on the biggest stage.
With so many changes expected and necessary this summer, these are the types of deals that regularly go under the radar, and could help Liverpool hugely.
