Alisson is not expected to be fit for the visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday, which confirms that third-choice goalkeeper Freddie Woodman will start in his place.
With Giorgi Mamardashvili facing three weeks out with a knee injury, the focus has shifted to ensuring Alisson is fit for Liverpool’s run-in.
But the No. 1 is not thought to be targeting a comeback in time for this weekend’s clash with Palace at Anfield, having already missed six games with a hamstring injury.
The Athletic‘s Gregg Evans reports that he is instead set to return for Liverpool’s trip to Man United on May 3.

This means Woodman – who replaced Mamardashvili in the second half of Sunday’s 2-1 win at Everton – will make his full Premier League debut for Liverpool.
It will mark almost five years since his last start in the English top flight, which came in Newcastle‘s 4-1 defeat to Man United at Old Trafford in September 2021.
That was his last start in a run of four, with Woodman subsequently loaned to then-Championship side Bournemouth in the January transfer window before joining Preston on a three-year deal at the end of the season.
He faces a tough test, then, but it comes in a game in which Liverpool will be considered favourites as Palace currently sit 13th after Monday’s 0-0 draw with West Ham.

Reflecting on his surprise cameo against Everton, Woodman told the club’s official website: “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous.
“Being a part of this massive club, you have moments where you are a little bit nervous.
“But, to be honest, I thought to myself as I ran on, I just saw our back four and thought, ‘I should be alright, you know, as they are proper players’.
“I thought I wouldn’t be too busy and, to be fair, they looked after me.
“It was just unbelievable to make my debut in the Premier League and to win like we did was special.”

Alisson has already missed 16 games through injury and illness this season, with the Brazilian struggling with an ongoing hamstring problem.
Liverpool recently triggered a one-year extension to his contract, ensuring the 33-year-old is tied to the club until 2027.
However, he is linked with a summer move to Juventus, with reports in Italy claiming positive talks with Alisson‘s camp over a possible reunion with former Roma manager Luciano Spalletti.
