There was a recent suggestion that Wilson was leaning towards a North West return this summer, but there has been another twist in the tale.
In a report from Wales Online, it is claimed Wilson is ‘ready’ to join Aston Villa.

This is something that Everton could still secure for next season, but Villa’s prospects look more likely for the 2026/27 campaign.

Wilson is said to be desperate to play European football, with Villa currently looking like his safest option.
