Liverpool now working on surprise swap deal to sign "exciting" £87m Diomande alternative -…

Liverpool are now working on a shock swap deal to sign Kenan Yildiz from Juventus this summer, as they consider an alternative to RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande.

Liverpool plotting move to sign Diomande

Replacing Salah is Liverpool's very own Mission Impossible this summer. Where there is a big game, there has been a big moment from the Egyptian ever since he stepped foot in Merseyside, as proved at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.

It was arguably fitting that Liverpool's Egyptian King matched Steven Gerrard for Merseyside derby goals and became the first player to score in such fixture at Everton's new ground, in the process. For one last time, Salah put his closest rivals to the sword.

How Liverpool even get close to replacing that quality is anyone's guess. Perhaps the better idea is to adjust the focus of their attack towards the likes of Alexander Isak, whilst welcoming a natural winger instead of a like-for-like Salah replacement this summer.

It would certainly open the door to a number of options, including Diomande, who those at Anfield certainly rate highly if recent reports are anything to go by.

Liverpool are already searching for new forwards ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to recent reports, Liverpool are now prioritising a deal to sign Diomande, but will have to pay a stunning €100m (£87m) fee if they are to welcome the RB Leipzig winger.

Meanwhile, there's also interest from Paris Saint-Germain, which could scupper the Reds' attempts. It wouldn't be the first time that a European giant cost the Premier League giants and they could be forced to look elsewhere for a Salah replacement as a result this summer.

Liverpool working on Yildiz swap deal

If it's not one of the Bundesliga's leading talents, then it may well be a Serie A star. According to SportsBoom, Liverpool are now working on a shock swap deal to sign Yildiz from Juventus this summer.

The Turkish winger has certainly impressed in Turin, recording 21 goal involvements in all competitions, and it's easy to see why he's on the radar of several Premier League sides.

Like Diomande, however, he won't come cheap. Juventus are reportedly prepared to start bidding at €100m (£87m) - the same price that Leipzig are demanding for their star winger. So for those at Anfield, it's simply a case of taking their pick.

Minutes 2,566 2,137

Goals 10 12

Chances created 71 50

It very much looks as though Liverpool will have signed an excellent winger whether it's Yildiz or Diomande. Both are worth their hefty price tags and both have earned deserved praised.

Dubbed "exciting" by Como scout Ben Mattinson, Yildiz is also still just 20 years old. His best years are still to come and could yet arrive at Anfield if Liverpool make their move this summer.
