Harry Kane involved in £55m transfer talks to scupper Liverpool's summer plans

Harry Kane could have a huge role to play in one of the biggest deals in the Premier League in the summer transfer window.

There are a number of rumours already doing the rounds, ahead of the summer transfer window opening in two months' time, with certain players tipped to make big-money moves.

One of those is Anthony Gordon, with Newcastle aiming to balance the books ahead of the Premier League moving to Squad Cost Ratio rules with regard to financial obligations.

GIVEMESPORT understands that Newcastle United could sell one or two high-profile players this summer, with Tino Livramento likely to be one of those to depart.

Gordon has been another linked with an exit, alongside the likes of Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.

A report in the Telegraph stated that Gordon is "keen to explore his options to leave Newcastle United in the summer as he looks to follow Alexander Isak out of the club" and that while no official decision has been made by the 25-year-old as yet, there is a feeling around the club that there will be movement over a potential exit when the summer transfer window opens.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with the former Everton man in the past, with Liverpool coming close to a deal to sign him in the 2024 summer transfer window, only for any deal to be scuppered by Newcastle cashing in on Elliot Anderson instead.

Both clubs would be interested in signing him again this time around, and with Gordon keen on a move away, things could become easier for the duo to complete a deal.

However, their hopes could be hit by interest from elsewhere in Europe, in particular from Bayern Munich.

The German giants, who won their 35th Bundesliga title at the weekend, are eyeing up a £55million deal to sign the England international in the summer and Gordon is understood to be keen on the move.

Bayern Are Well Adrift Of Newcastle's Asking Price

Newcastle would demand more than £55million to sell one of their prized assets, with a fee in the region of £80million touted as the asking price by the Magpies.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed last week that "several clubs are involved in the first round of discussions" over a deal to sign the frontman, with Bayern thought to be one of them.

And Gordon has begun to prepare for the summer himself, but discussing a potential move to the Allianz Arena with his England captain Kane. Reports have claimed that the pair have spoken about the Newcastle man moving to Europe, with Gordon understood to be keen on the move.

That would scupper Liverpool's - and Arsenal's - potential summer plans in the process.
