The West Ham board have delivered their reaction to the draw away at Crystal Palace and the return of David Moyes to the London Stadium with Everton next.

Many fans are angry with Nuno Espirito Santo after West Ham’s 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace on Monday night.
The result kept West Ham out of the Premier League’s bottom three and increased the gap on relegation rivals Spurs to two points with five games to play.
But some supporters saw it as a huge opportunity missed to make the gap four points and pile pressure on Tottenham.

Not least because Oliver Glasner was missing key players, Palace’s stars had been partying three days prior and had more than one eye on next week’s European semi-final.
A large section of Hammers fans felt the Eagles were there for the taking and were not impressed with Nuno’s tactics in the second half as the Irons sat back happy for a point.

Now the West Ham board have reacted to the Palace draw and the return of David Moyes with Everton this weekend.

The Hammers hierarchy take a different view on the point to many of the club’s fans.

But they are pulling no punches after the Selhurst Park stalemate.
Because despite knowing former manager Moyes will make things tough for his old side, the board have made it clear what is expected and needed when Everton come to east London.
“We didn’t deserve more than a draw,” the top spokesman for West Ham’s owners exclusively told Hammers News.
“Palace have great recent form and despite playing a lot of games this season were full of running.

“It is a really tough game this weekend against Everton as you expect against David’s sides.
“But it is a MUST WIN.”

Pundit Jamie Carragher defended Nuno’s West Ham tactics and believes fans will see it as a good point in the fullness of time.
Moyes is pushing his Everton team to try and qualify for Europe, just as he did three seasons in a row with West Ham.
The Scot has done a remarkable job back on Merseyside and may have a point to prove to Hammers chief David Sullivan, who withdrew the offer of a new contract at the club at the turn of the year in 2024.

Moyes was unhappy with two major details of the contract. The first being the loss of his power of veto on all recruitment to be ceded to then technical director Tim Steidten.
The second his son, David junior, being removed from the scouting team.
Ironically, the only West Ham manager to win a major trophy in 47 years returns to his old stomping ground with Everton planning to extend his contract.
Moyes recently gushed about his time at West Ham but insisted Everton is the right club for him at the right time.
Although there have been familiar murmurings from Everton fans about Moyes that were heard at West Ham too.
While West Ham welcome the Toffees on Saturday, Spurs are away at Wolves.
Tottenham are expected to win against the relegated basement boys.
If that happens then West Ham’s owners are right, the team must win against Everton in order to remain out of the drop zone with four games to play.
Although Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi has warned West Ham what is about to happen in the relegation battle.
