Chile international Dario Osorio is attracting interest from several clubs following his outstanding performances for FC Midtjylland this season.
The 22-year-old winger, who averages a goal involvement every 179 minutes for FC Midtjylland, has attracted attention from both Arsenal and Liverpool. He has recorded seven goals and 10 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
Osorio also caught the eye in the Europa League, delivering a standout performance against Nottingham Forest, where he provided an assist in Midtjylland’s 3-2 win at the City Ground in October.
While he is now being linked with a move to England, West Ham were previously reported to have considered a move for him in 2023, before he joined Midtjylland from Universidad de Chile.
Since arriving in Denmark, Osorio has registered 22 goals and 15 assists in 104 appearances and won the Danish Superliga in his debut season. He is also an established Chile international and played the full match in a 1-0 defeat to Argentina at Copa América 2024.
He is now being viewed as a potential long-term attacking option for Liverpool, who are preparing for changes in their forward line this summer, with Mohamed Salah set to leave at the end of the season.
Reacting to transfer speculation involving Liverpool, he told talkSPORT: “I don’t know much about that. My agent tells me when there’s genuine interest, and to be honest, I don’t really follow social media on those topics.
“As I said before, I always dream of playing in the best stadiums in the world against the best teams.” Midtjylland have built a strong reputation for developing young talent before selling them on for profit, and Osorio could be the next player to follow that path.
Reports suggest Liverpool have already tested Midtjylland’s resolve with an offer for the Chile international, but the Danish club rejected the bid.
Other names linked with a move to Anfield in the summer include Yan Diomande, Yankuba Minteh, Bazoumana Touré, Francisco Conceição and Anthony Gordon.
Diomande is of particular interest to Liverpool, with the club having followed the youngster extensively in recent months. Negotiations are ongoing with the player’s representatives at Roc Nation Sports, but no agreement has yet been reached and club-to-club discussions have not started.
RB Leipzig would prefer to keep Diomande for another season, although they could be tempted to sell for the right price. The Bundesliga side are demanding a fee in excess of €100million for the winger, who joined from Leganés for €20million last summer.
