Liverpool injury news on Alisson Becker, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Joe Gomez and more.
Liverpool can take another step towards Champions League qualification when they welcome Crystal Palace at Anfield.
The Reds, who are fifth in the Premier League, have opened up a seven-point gap ahead of sixth-place Chelsea. Arne Slot’s side’s last-gasp 2-1 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby ensured that they took advantage of Chelsea’s fourth successive league defeat at the hands of Manchester United.
However, Liverpool know they cannot afford to take their foot off the gas. The task is still to be completed, while pressure still remains on head coach Arne Slot. The Reds will want to finish as high as possible in the table and take momentum into next term.
Injuries have been a reason why Liverpool have endured such a disappointing 2025-26. Ahead of Palace’s visit, Slot again looks set to have a depleted squad.
With that in mind, here’s a look at Liverpool’s current injury list and when some may return.
Joe Gomez - muscle
The defender was introduced as a half-time substitute against PSG but lasted 22 minutes. Gomez admitted he felt he could pick up an injury if he carried on sprinting and he could not be fit enough to be on the bench against Everton. Much will depend on how he recovers this week.
Potential return game: Crystal Palace (H), Saturday 25 April.
Alisson Becker - hamstring
The No.1 goalkeeper has missed the past six games because of a hamstring injury. Slot revealed after the Everton win that Alisson could recommence team training this week but reports suggest that the Brazil international is aiming for the trip to Manchester United on Sunday week.
Potential return game: Manchester United (A), Sunday 3 May.
Giorgi Mamardashvili - cut
The second-choice stopper sustained his problem when Beto accidentally collided with him when equalising for Everton. Mamardashvili had to go to hospital for his issue. Reports suggest that Mamarashvili is set to be unavailable for at least two weeks, so Freddie Woodman is likely to be in goal this weekend.
Potential return game: Chelsea (H), Saturday 9 May.
Wataru Endo - ankle
The midfielder has been missing for the best part of two months after being stretchered off in a 1-0 win at Sunderland. Endo’s main aim will be to return in time to captain Japan at the World Cup. Slot hopes that the ex-Stuttgart man will be fit before the season’s end.
Potential return: N/A
Conor Bradley - knee
The right-back continues his recovery from a serious injury. He has been sidelined for two-and-a-half months.
Potential return: Pre-season.
Giovanni Leoni - ACL
The summer signing from Parma is still on the mend after sustaining his unlucky problem on debut last September. Leoni has been photographed out on the grass at the AXA Training Centre.
Potential return: Pre-season
Hugo Ekitike - Achilles
The centre-forward went down innocuously against PSG. While Ekitike tried to continue three times, it was clear he was in too much pain. The suspensions are that Ekitike could spend potentially the rest of the year on the treatment table.
Potential return: N/A
Stefan Bajcetic - hamstring
It is approaching 11 months since the midfielder picked up his issue on loan at Las Palmas and required surgery. Bajcetic has had several setbacks and not made an appearance at any level this season.
Potential return game: N/A
Jayden Danns - hamstring
The striker suffered wretched luck on his return to action for the under-21s last month. Having been absent for around six months, Danns had to be forced off in the 29th minute of a clash against Man City. Young Reds boss Rob Page somewhat allayed fears but Liverpool are going to have to be careful and Slot may have to decide if he’s ready to make a first-team return if Danns overcomes his issue.
Potential return game: N/A
