Liverpool’s hopes of signing Eduardo Camavinga in the 2026 summer transfer window looked to have taken a blow this week.
Despite a difficult season in Spain, Fabrizio Romano said recently that ‘Camavinga still wants to fight to be part of Real Madrid’s long-term plans‘, which was not ideal for the Reds.
However, while the Frenchman’s stance on staying with Real Madrid remains the same, Los Blancos are still adamant they want a sale.

Real Madrid could sell Eduardo Camavinga against his wishes
Normally, if a player wants to stay, there isn’t much hope of other teams being able to complete a move.
But a report from El Debate has shed some light on the situation this week, and it could mean a transfer to Anfield remains on the cards.
They also mention that ‘Camavinga’s current stance is to stay at the club and prove he’s good enough to play for Real Madrid’.
However, their report crucially adds that ‘Real Madrid will remain firm in their position. They want to sell him’.

On that front, it is said that the current Champions League holders, PSG, as well as several Premier League teams, are showing interest in the midfielder after learning of Los Blancos’ stance on his future.
Camavinga has made 218 appearances, scored six goals and provided 11 assists since he joined Real Madrid for £27m in 2021.
A natural central midfielder, the 23-year-old could come in as a replacement for Curtis Jones if he decides to leave in the summer.
Aston Villa are thought to be leading the race for him, and his departure would mean Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo are the only senior midfield options available to Arne Slot.
Dominik Szoboszlai can play in the pivot, but he is generally used as a right-back or as an attacking midfielder.
There is also Liverpool youngster Trey Nyoni, but given Endo has never been the most impressive option and Mac Allister has been off his game this term, reinforcements in the centre of the pitch this summer would probably be wise.
