It has recently been claimed that Parrott would be open to returning to Tottenham Hotspur regardless of what league they are playing next season.

In contrast, Team Talk has suggested Everton may hold a slight advantage, with Parrott having grown up as an Everton supporter.

The report also mentions Everton’s strong Irish contingent on Merseyside, with Seamus Coleman and Jake O’Brien knowing the striker well.

One thing that is apparent is that it is not just Spurs and Everton chasing his signature.

Fulham are also keen to sign Parrott, but there is also strong interest arriving from other top European clubs.

Having seen how poorly Thierno Barry has adapted to life in the Premier League, Everton need to strengthen their options ahead of the new season.

New academy director Dean Rastrick holds a strong relationship with Parrott following their time together in north London.

Rastrick is now the latest addition at Finch Farm, with the number of familiar faces for Parrott growing.
