John Stones set to leave Manchester City amid Everton interest

David Ornstein has just announced that Stones is set to leave Man City at the end of the season.

Writing on his X account, Ornstein said: “John Stones exit from Manchester City this summer set to be announced next week.

“Conversations will start soon but the plan is clear, time to say goodbye between a City legend John Stones and the club.”

It has been reported that Stones is open to returning to Everton as he welcomes the chance to reunite with his former manager.

Indeed, for the Toffees to have a stronger chance of landing his signature, they will have to qualify for Europe.

As Ornstein reported, there will be some big European clubs chasing the 31-year-old, so the Merseysiders must aim for a top-seven finish this term to boost their chances.
