Teun Koopmeiners has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past, but the Juventus midfielder appears to still be on the club’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
Manchester United have been linked with multiple players from the Netherlands in recent years, especially after Erik ten Hag took charge of the team in 2022.
There was an influence of Dutch players before then, too, under Louis van Gaal – including Memphis Depay and Daley Blind.
It remains to be seen if United will add a player from the Netherlands to the squad this summer, but one has been linked with a move to Old Trafford ahead of a potential summer transfer.

It remains to be seen if Teun Koopmeiners will be called up to the Netherlands squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Ronald Koeman has a decision to make after Koopmeiners’ game time was cut significantly at Juventus this season, and he’s also made multiple appearances at centre-back as opposed to his familiar midfield role.
It is understood that Juventus are hoping Koopmeiners goes to the World Cup and performs at a high level, to help facilitate a transfer in the summer.

This won’t be an easy sale for Juventus, who are trying to avoid losses by selling for anything under £26 million.
According to Tuttomercato, United are one of the clubs considering a gamble on Koopmeiners, along with Turkish Super Lig outfit Galatasaray.
Galatasaray are reportedly interested in Altay Bayindir, with United’s second-choice goalkeeper facing an uncertain future after losing his place in the team to Senne Lammens.

Teun Koopmeiners is a reliable option
Although Koopmeiners is deemed a sellable asset at Juventus, he has featured 40 times for the Italian side this season.
That means Koopmeiners is a reliable option, but also versatile in that he is capable of playing in a back three if required.
United need more than one new signing in midfield this summer, so it makes sense that United would be looking throughout the top leagues for alternative options such as Koopmeiners.
The Netherlands international would be a squad filler if anything, but hopefully an improvement on Manuel Ugarte, should he join.
