Tyler Dibling signing has taught Moyes a valuable lesson

Dibling landed at Everton following an impressive season with Southampton in the Premier League.

However, it quickly became clear that Moyes did not feel Dibling was ‘ready’ to make an impact in his Everton side.

The 20-year-old has played a mere 350 minutes in the Premier League this season under the Scot.

Moyes wants Dibling to impress in pre-season, which has seemingly already ruled out any real opportunities for the youngster in the final weeks.

Everton have taken a big stride forward this season, with European qualification very much still on the cards.

Constant improvement will be needed to keep the Blues competitive in the top end of the table, which will require signings who can actually make an impact.

Some of the summer signings from last year have certainly stung the club, with the big-money acquisition of Dibling perhaps the most painful to date.
