The Alisson Becker saga has been gathering pace for weeks, and it now appears to be entering its most decisive chapter yet.

What began as speculation surrounding the Brazilian’s long-term future at Anfield has steadily evolved into a legitimate transfer saga.

Earlier this week, credible Italian journalist Matteo Moretto dropped a significant update, revealing on his YouTube channel that a verbal understanding had already been established between Alisson and Juventus. Moretto was unambiguous: “There is already a basis of verbal understanding between Juventus and Alisson. The footballer opens the door clearly to Serie A. He is really very fascinated, attracted by the Juventus project.”

The 33-year-old reportedly wants to handle any departure in a manner that satisfies both himself and Liverpool.

Now according to a new report from Gazetta Dello Sport, Liverpool have set their asking price in the region of €15 million for the goalkeeper, who remains contracted at Anfield until the summer of 2027 following the club’s activation of a one-year extension clause earlier this season.

That extension, which appeared to be a safeguard, now works in Liverpool’s favour – ensuring they hold genuine leverage and can demand a fee rather than losing Alisson for free.

The financial complexity of the deal, however, remains a real obstacle. Alisson earns in the region of €8 million per season, a figure that is cited as difficult for Juventus to justify within their internal wage structure.

The Turin club have reportedly offered a three-year deal but at a reduced salary, creating a gap between what the player currently earns and what Juve can realistically offer.

Despite those complications, Alisson’s agents are understood to be holding fresh talks with Juventus representatives in the coming days as both sides attempt to find workable ground.

With club legends Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson already confirmed to be departing this summer, Liverpool face the very real prospect of losing their last line in goal too.
