Arne Slot has provided a Liverpool injury update ahead of the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
The Reds can move eight points clear in the race for Champions League qualification should they deliver a victory.
However, Liverpool have issues in their goalkeeping department ahead of the encounter against Palace at Anfield tomorrow.
Alisson Becker has missed the past six games with a hamstring injury while Giorgi Mamardashvili was forced off in last week’s 2-1 Merseyside derby win over Everton with a bad wound.
Mamardashvili will be absent, while Alisson remains doubtful - meaning Freddie Woodman could make his Premier League debut for Liverpool.
Liverpool head coach Slot said at his pre-match press conference: “Giorgi will definitely not be available for tomorrow and the upcoming weeks. Ali is close. Let’s see yes or no. That leaves Freddie Woodman, who is an option, definitely.”
On Woodman, who was signed on a free transfer from Preston last summer, Slot said: “For a reason, we signed an experienced third goalkeeper. That’s why we were happy to pick him up on a free transfer. Apart from being a good goalkeeper, which he has shown, he is a very good man and very liked in the dressing room. That is a role important for the third goalkeeper if he is not playing. If he is playing, it is important he has a good performance.”
Slot confirmed that Joe Gomez, who missed the Everton triumph, is set to return to the squad. However, Wataru Endo (ankle) will remain absent for the next few weeks as he recovers from an ankle injury.
