David Moyes shares Beto injury latest

Earlier in the week it was claimed Beto did not suffer a concussion, which meant he would avoid the protocol that would see him miss the trip to London.

However, the Everton boss has denied this. Beto will not play against West Ham.

“No. Beto has a concussion and will miss this week’s game,” said Moyes.

The 28-year-old has been in fine form for Everton in recent weeks and will now be looking to net his fifth goal in four consecutive games.

Everton devastated by Jarrad Branthwaite injury

Moyes admitted he was worried about Branthwaite’s injury following the final whistle in the Merseyside derby.

Branthwaite was unable to hold back his emotions at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the 23-year-old all too familiar with serious hamstring setbacks.

“Obviously, Jarrad will be out for the season. There will be quite a long close season, so there should be plenty of time for him to get fit and ready to start next season, but he won’t be fit again to play this season,” Moyes said.

“Really, the two players out at the moment are Jarrad and Beto.”

On the back of the blow for Branthwaite, Everton have extended Michael Keane’s contract, which makes him the natural replacement alongside James Tarkowski.
