Liverpool 'hold talks' with agents of teenager

Liverpool are among the clubs who have been tracking Yan Diomande.

Liverpool have held meetings with the representatives of Yan Diomande ahead of a potential summer swoop, reports suggest.

Diomande has enjoyed a tremendous maiden season for Red Bull Leipzig since joining from CD Leganes last summer. So far, the winger has fired 13 goals and created eight assists, with Die Roten Bullen sitting third in the Bundesliga table.

Diomande's performances have unsurprisingly caught the attention of several clubs. Liverpool are among the clubs who have been monitoring the 19-year-old. The Reds are in the market for a new winger this summer as they aim to find a successor for Mo Salah, who will bring the curtain down on his nine-year Anfield chapter at the end of the season.

According to German newspaper BILD, Liverpool have already discussed Diomande with his agency Roc Nation Sports. The Ivory Coast international changed representatives last year. However, Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain have also reportedly had talks with Roc Nation, although 'no concrete offer' has been made. While Manchester United have supposedly been tracking Diomande, they have 'currently gone cold'.

BILD suggests that Leipzig have slapped a price tag of at least £85 million on Diomande. However, it is said that the Saxony outfit could accept a lower offer for the 19-year-old if they are allowed to keep him for the 2026-27 campaign. Leipzig are on track to return to the Champions League.
