Report: Club now ready to sell £10m Moyes target to Everton after manager loses patience

We are approaching that time of the season where clubs begin to make decisions ahead of the summer transfer window, and Everton are no exception.

The Toffees have already moved to tie Michael Keane down to a new contract before losing the England international to free agency at the end of the season.

Juventus are also starting to think about who stays and goes, with Calciomercato claiming that the Italian giants are ready to sell Edon Zhegrova amid interest from Everton.

Do Everton still need to add a new centre-back this summer? 🤔

Everton told they could sign Zhegrova for €11.4m

Everton tried to sign Zhegrova on deadline day in the winter transfer window before the deal collapsed late on.

However, Calciomercato now explain how the Kosovo international has done little to convince Juventus he is worth keeping around since that move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium broke down.

The Italian news outlet say Zhegrova – who Everton also considered last summer too – infuriated Luciano Spalletti in just 18 minutes of action last time out against Bologna, failing to make the right decisions on the ball as his chances of staying in Turin fade.

Calciomercato add that Juventus would need to recoup €11.4m (£10m) to avoid a financial loss on the 27-year-old.

That is a bargain of a fee for a club the size of Everton, and even if Moyes ends up failing to coach the best out of Zhegrova, it is a risk worth taking for a sum that small.

There is certainly a player in the Juventus No.11 – who memorably tormented Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League last season as Lille recorded a historic win, and also scored a terrific strike against Atletico Madrid in the same competition.

Furthermore, Juventus are not exactly a breeding ground for success at the moment, with several players who struggled at the Allianz Stadium quickly finding form after leaving such as Dean Huijsen, Matias Soule, Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski.

Therefore, Everton could snap up a bargain in Zhegrova if a deal materialises this summer.
