The ex-Liverpool star was once fighting it out for the Premier League title before making the unorthodox move earlier this year

Former Liverpool winger Victor Moses has gone from battling for the Premier League title to plying his trade in Kazakhstan. Moses, 35, who began his career at Crystal Palace, Liverpool's opponents this weekend, joined the Reds on a season-long loan from Chelsea in September 2013.
He became part of former manager Brendan Rodgers' attack as Liverpool went toe-to-toe with Chelsea in the Premier League title race. Unfortunately for Liverpool and Moses, the Reds fell short by an agonising two points to the players' parent club.
The Nigerian international had been part of the Blues' Europa League-winning squad the previous season but became available due to the depth of talent at Stamford Bridge at the time.

However, after loan stints with Stoke City, West Ham, Inter Milan and Fenerbahce, he joined Spartak Moscow from Chelsea on a permanent deal before joining Luton Town. Moses has since sought out a completely new experience.
He put pen to paper, signing with Kaisar Kyzylorda in the Kazakh Premier League in January. The attacking star had been without a club since leaving Luton last summer upon the expiration of his contract.

Kaisar Kyzylorda, who are currently 13th in the Kazakhstan Premier League, announced Moses’ signing on its Instagram account. A caption read: “The former player of the Nigerian national team will protect the honour of the Kyzylorda club in the new season.
“Victor Moses is a footballer known for his high-level experience after performing in a number of European clubs. His addition to the Kaisar team is a clear proof of the team’s goals for the upcoming season.”
Moses signed a contract that runs until December 2026 and has so far made four appearances for the outfit. Supporters were clearly ecstatic at their side singing a Premier League veteran.
They gave Moses a vociferous reception as he was presented to them at the Gani Muratbayev Stadium. The ex-Liverpool star held up the club shirt before pulling off some skills for supporters, and while signing balls, which he later handed out.

Amid interest from several Premier League clubs, Rodgers moved quickly to secure Moses for the 2013/14 campaign. He made his debut for the Reds against Swansea City, showcasing his potential with a deft touch and a smart finish in a 2-2 draw.
That strike earned Moses a series of starts, although he was later mostly used off the bench, as Rodgers was cautious about altering a settled and winning lineup.
Over the years, Moses made his mark on the international stage, earning 38 caps for the Nigeria national team and winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013. During his stint in the Premier League, he won the title with Chelsea in 2016/17 and the FA Cup in 2017/18. He also picked up the Russian Cup with Spartak in 2021.
