“Kingsford [Boakye] put a great ball in and it was just asking to be headed in and Braiden was there,” Tait told the Everton website.
“Braiden was outstanding and did some excellent things. He just keeps going because he’s got that fire in his belly and the determination.”
After scoring the opener, it turned out to be a fairly quiet second half for Graham, with Everton on the back foot.
But that did not stop the youngster from keeping a positive attitude, which eventually prevailed with the winning goal in the last second of extra time.
David Moyes admitted Graham could join Everton’s pre-season efforts having been impressed with what he saw.
However, there will be many fans who will feel that the 18-year-old should be pushing the struggling Barry for a spot in the side.
Thierno Barry does not possess Graham’s fire
Everton fans witnessed it first hand on Sunday; Barry simply does not have the same fire in his belly as Graham currently.
Chris Sutton slammed Barry for his Liverpool display at the weekend after he came on for the injured Beto.
It has been a tough first season in England for Barry, but things started to head south after the debacle following the away trip to Arsenal.
His relationship with the Everton supporters appears to be in tatters, and his fire has been put out when he’s on the pitch.
Questions still remain over whether Graham is ready for the step up, but his attitude cannot be put under the microscope.
