Rumours this week suggesting Alisson Becker will leave Liverpool at the end of the season have many fans clamouring for Caoimhín Kelleher to return to Anfield.
The Ireland goalkeeper left the club last summer after years as back-up to Alisson, and is in the mix for a spot in the Premier League Team of the Season thanks to his superb consistency for Keith Andrews' Brentford.

Kelleher had endeared himself to the Anfield faithful with his many spells filling in for the somewhat injury-prone Alisson during his time with Liverpool, and the club could certainly do worse than bring the Corkonian back as the Brazilian's long-term replacement.
No concrete reports have linked Liverpool with making such a move this summer, but it would be surprising if Liverpool weren't to even consider bringing Kelleher back to Anfield.
Some may be wondering why the club allowed him to leave in the first place, but ex-Ireland internationals Shay Given and Damien Delaney had an intriguing theory on the matter ahead of the club's clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Given tips Kelleher - Liverpool return
Liverpool were forced to rely on third-choice goalkeeper Freddie Woodman against Crystal Palace, with both Alisson Becker and Giorgi Mamardashvili sidelined through injury.
The depth behind Alisson looks significantly weaker since Caoimhín Kelleher's departure, and the Irishman's stock has only risen since his move to Brentford.

Speaking on Premier Sports' coverage of Liverpool v Crystal Palace, former Palace star Damien Delaney pondered whether there may be a buy-back clause in place for Alisson's "ready-made replacement" in Kelleher.
I said last year, I said that I felt he was already picking up too many injuries the year they won the title, he missed a lot of games.
They had a ready-made replacement in Caoimhín, in the building. I felt that Caoimhín obviously had to go and play first-team football to get better.
I just hope Liverpool have some sort of a buy-back clause with Brentford so that they can get him back in the building, because he was such a good understudy. Maybe now he's ready to graudate.
Shay Given was alongside Delaney in the studio, and pointed out that there was precedent for such an arrangement in recent years, with Manchester City having an option to buy James Trafford back.
We've seen the same thing with [James] Trafford and Manchester City, you know? They sold him to Burnley, but they had the first option to buy him back.
It'll be interesting if Liverpool have something like that because he's had a great season at Brentford as well.
One would imagine that Liverpool would have at least pursued a sell-on clause, if not a buy-back clause, in the deal to bring Caoimhín Kelleher to Brentford, especially as the transfer fee paid was much lower than might have been expected.
Should Alisson's rumoured move to Juventus come to fruition, it will be intriguing to see if Liverpool do indeed move to bring the Corkman back to Anfield.
