Nine transfers Jurgen Klopp will ‘demand’ as he ‘agrees’ first manager job after leaving…

In January 2026, Real Madrid decided to part company with Xabi Alonso. He was replaced with Alvaro Arbeloa, who was promoted from his role coaching the Castilla side, but it remains to be seen if he will be trusted to manage Los Blancos in 2026/27.

As things stand, Madrid are out of the Champions League and look set to miss out on La Liga as well, sitting eight points behind Barcelona despite having played one more game. As such, it's widely felt that someone else will take over from Arbeloa in the summer.

It's no secret that Jurgen Klopp is high on Real Madrid's managerial wishlist and new reports suggest he could finally be willing to make the move to Spain. That said, the former Liverpool boss has some strong transfer 'demands'.

According to reports in Spain, via Football 365, Klopp has now ‘agreed to coach’ the Spanish club. It's also claimed that he will 'accept any offer presented to him’ but has ‘asked for’ nine transfer moves in return. Six of those will be sales, and three will be new signings.

Eduardo Camavinga

The first name on Klopp's list of big changes to come at the Bernabeu is Dani Carvajal. The report notes that it's already been 'decided' that the club captain will leave on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.

Adding to this, the German manager will 'open the door’ for squad players such as Fran Garcia, Andriy Lunin, and Dani Ceballos. Talented youngster Franco Mastantuono is also said to be among those Klopp could look to offload, after the 18-year-old's mixed debut season in Spain.

Perhaps most notably, though, the report claims that Eduardo Camavinga will be allowed to leave. It's said that the club want to ‘secure a significant’ fee for the Frenchman. This would presumably allow Klopp to invest in some new signings.

There are three key men that Klopp is said to be demanding if he is to take charge at the Bernabeu this summer. The first name on the list will be a player who has probably been on his radar for some time now.

Those in Germany will have no doubts over Nico Schlotterbeck's quality, as he has proven to be one of the best defenders in Europe since joining Borussia Dortmund in 2022. With that in mind, it's no surprise that Klopp could be keen on bringing the 26-year-old to Madrid.

The next moves are more in the typical Galactico mould. If Camavinga is to leave, midfield reinforcements could be on the agenda, and Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez seems to fit the bill. What's more, the Argentine has even gone on the record in recent times, speaking about how much he would like to live in the Spanish capital.

He managed to get a two-game surprise at Stamford Bridge after saying: "I really like Madrid - it’s similar to Buenos Aires. Yes, of course [I could live in Madrid]."

The last player on Klopp's list of demands is Kenan Yildiz. Still only 20, the German-born Turkish international has been lighting it up for Juventus over the past few seasons. Madrid likely won't be the only club chasing his signature this summer, though.

Considering Klopp's ambitious summer plans, the report added: "They would strengthen some positions that are in dire need of reinforcement, where they currently lack players or where no one has yet reached the required standard.

"Obviously, these three signings will be very expensive, and they won’t be easy for Florentino Perez. But there’s no denying they would represent a significant leap forward."
