Rangers transfer consultant Stig Inge Bjornebye has revealed that talks have been held about Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah.
Bjornebye is set to stay at Rangers beyond his current contract at Ibrox, which runs out at the end of the season.
The 56-year-old joined in December to help out on a short-term basis, but will be there for this summer transfer window.

Stig Inge Bjornebye reveals internal discussions at Rangers for Mo Salah
Bjornebye has gone on record to state that internal discussions have been held at Ibrox surrounding the future of Salah.
The Egypt international has already announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season on a free transfer.
His contract at Anfield runs out at the end of June, and he has decided that it is time for a new challenge.
Salah has won the Premier League and Champions League at Liverpool, along with some cups, and feels that he has achieved all he can there.

However, he still wants to continue playing football and is now considering all the options he has available.
A move to Saudi Arabia has been mooted along with one to the MLS, so it is evident that the 33-year-old will not be short on options.
Bjornebye said: “I don’t know what Mo’s plans are – we discussed it at work today as well, as I’m an advisor to Rangers.
“We discussed where he’ll go and so on. But I think most people are grateful for what he’s done for Liverpool.
“He is a true legend at Liverpool and has achieved a remarkable legacy for a great club. He has delivered exceptional results for them over many seasons.
“There were some heated discussions about his situation last year, but the matter has been resolved and he has remained loyal to Liverpool.
“I think most people can accept that he has given the club many great years and now wants to seize a new opportunity, perhaps embarking on another adventure.”

Can Rangers realistically sign Salah?
Rangers would surely love the chance to secure Salah’s services on a free transfer, but he is expected to be spoilt for choice.
He is also on huge wages at Anfield and could have clubs in Saudi Arabia potentially offering him that kind of money.
The winger, who has been called an “absolute legend” by Pep Guardiola, would need to take a massive pay cut if he is to move to Ibrox.
However, with no personal ties to the club, it seems unlikely that he would consider it.
