Everton ratings vs West Ham as 3/10 struggler must be dropped by David Moyes

Everton suffered yet another significant blow in their quest for European football.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall thought he had scored the equalising goal to save Everton from another defeat, but Callum Wilson netted a late winner.

Former David Moyes favourite Tomas Soucek scored the opening goal of the game, but the Blues were unable to hold on to their equaliser.

Who was Everton’s worst player in the defeat against West Ham? 🫣

Jordan Pickford – 5

He did not have a great deal to do. Some may argue that Jordan Pickford could have done better with the in swinging corner that led to the goal.

Who is to blame for this defeat, then? 😡

Jake O’Brien – 5

Had perhaps the most difficult task of any Everton player today, with the tricky Crysencio Summerville causing him plenty of issues.

Withdrawn shortly after the hour for Tim Iroegbunam.

James Tarkowski – 4

For the second game in a row, James Tarkowski has failed to deal with a corner leading to a goal being conceded.

Thought he had redeemed himself with the assist for the equaliser, but then came the winning goal.

Michael Keane – 4

Failed to deal with the cross for Wilson’s winning goal.

Vitalii Mykolenko – 4

Often seen pushing up the pitch, but there was little quality shown from the Ukraine international.

Was unable to win his header for Wilson’s goal.

James Garner – 5

Picked up a yellow card for a foul on Summerville and then forced out to right-back when O’Brien was removed.

Idrissa Gana Gueye – 5

Everton are still considering Idrissa Gana Gueye’s contract situation and the 36-year-old was not at his best against the Hammers.

Dwight McNeil – 3

Offered nothing in attack or defence. A questionable decision to start him after two poor performances on the bounce.

Moyes must drop him for the next game against Manchester City.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 8

With no Beto, Dewsbury-Hall stepped up as the goalscorer for the Blues.

What a finish it was, too. An absolute cannon of a left foot on the 27-year-old.

Iliman Ndiaye – 4

Not the Iliman Ndiaye Everton fans have come to know and love. A very, very quiet afternoon for the winger.

Thierno Barry – 3

Was never really a threat to the West Ham backline. Should have scored, but Soucek was on the line to head the ball clear.

Thierno Barry was also at fault alongside Tarkowski for the winning goal.

Substitutions

Tyrique George – 6

Did not have a massive impact, but he did not shy away when the ball was at his feet.

Tim Iroegbunam – 7

Wanted the ball at every possible opportunity.
