Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner hailed the performance of Freddie Woodman during his side’s 3-1 defeat against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Reds finally got the better of Glasner and his team having been beaten three times by them this season already.
Woodman was arguably Liverpool’s best player, making five big saves on his full Premier League debut for the club. And speaking after full-time, Glasner admitted that the goalkeeper had probably put in his best ever display.

Glasner full of praise for excellent Woodman
Prior to Saturday’s game, all of the talk had been over whether Alisson Becker would be fit in time to play against Palace.
In the end, the Brazilian was not named in the matchday squad, leaving Woodman to take over duties for the second week in a row.
Bouncing on from his composed performance against Everton, Woodman showed no nerves early on, and ultimately made a string of genuinely terrific saves, the best being a low stop from a Jean-Philippe Mateta header which Liverpool went on to score from.
Speaking post-match to Sky Sports, Glasner singled the 29-year-old out for praise.

“The difference was the efficiency. Liverpool were clinical and we were not,” said the Austrian.
“The goalkeeper had the day of his life so congrats to him. We kept believing until the end. It was really positive and this is what we take into the final weeks.”
Having confirmed at full-time that he has indeed always been a big Crystal Palace supporter, the day was extra special for Woodman.
Though Alisson is expected to be back fit to face Man United next week, there would be no qualms from any Liverpool supporter if the number three were to stay in.
