Arne Slot suggested that Mohamed Salah has suffered a potentially damaging injury during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Salah was forced off the pitch with what looked like a hamstring issue in the second-half of the game, taking a moment to accept applause from all four corners of Anfield.
With only four games of the season left to play, there is a concern that the Egyptian has now made his final appearance in a Liverpool shirt.
Though he could not give an accurate sense of the severity of the issue when speaking immediately post-match, Slot admitted that Salah needing to come off at all suggests that the problem is a real one.

Slot offers Salah injury update
If there was one player who Liverpool supporters really did not want to see injured in the final weeks of the season it is Salah.
The 33-year-old has been embarking on a long goodbye since announcing his intention to leave the club in March, and for all he has done for the club, Salah deserves to go out in the right way.
That was thrown into doubt on Saturday, with Slot clearly worried about his usually durable No. 11 needing to leave the pitch.

“Another win and another injury. It’s the story of our season,” the Liverpool head coach said to BBC Match of the Day at full-time.
“It’s too early to say but we all know Mo and how hard it is for him to leave the pitch. For Mo to leave the pitch, it shows you something but we have to wait and see how bad it is.”
Even if the issue is resolvable before the end of the season, it looks virtually certain that Salah will miss his final visit to Old Trafford next weekend.
Things have been far from perfect for the Egyptian King during his final season with Liverpool, but with a couple of goals to his name in recent weeks, things had started to look up. This would be a cruel, miserable way to see such a legend bow out. Let’s hope things are not as bad as they look.
