Mo Salah injury update after Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
Arne Slot has provided an injury update on Mo Salah after Liverpool’s victory over Crystal Palace.
The Reds secured a 3-1 win to move up to fourth in the Premier League and edge closer towards Champions League qualification. Alexander Isak, Andy Robertson and Florian Wirtz were on target at Anfield.
However, the disappointment was that Salah sustained a suspected hamstring injury. The winger had to be substituted in the 59th minute and some fans are fearing he may not play for Liverpool again as he is set to depart at the end of the campaign.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Liverpool head coach Slot said: "Another win and another injury. It's the story of our season. It's too early to say but we all know Mo and how hard it is for him to leave the pitch. For Mo to leave the pitch, it shows you something but we have to wait and see how bad it is."
Slot then told reporters at his post-match press conference: “ We don’t know that is the best answer I can give. If I say there might be a chance, that is probably all the headlines that there might be a chance so we simply don’t know but what we do know is that the season in four weeks is over. Not a lot of games are being played so we have to wait and see how his injury is, if he can return to play. What I do know about Mo is he has taken so good care of his body all these years that he will have the minimum time required to recover from an injury and let’s hope for the best, that he is available in the last part.”
