Luca Davis could well be Everton’s next Seamus Coleman.
A changing of the guard is a possibility at Everton this summer, with Coleman’s future on Merseyside hanging in the balance.
David Moyes refused to speak on Coleman’s future during Friday’s press conference at Finch Farm.

Luca Davis could be Everton’s next Seamus Coleman
Living up to the Irishman’s legacy will take some doing, with Moyes sharing just how highly thought of Coleman is across the Premier League.
The 37-year-old’s career is coming to an end, which makes Tait’s praise for Davis on Friday evening even more intriguing.

“If you’re looking at the best players tonight [Friday], [Luca Davis] is definitely up there,” Tait told the Everton website.
“He’s got really good personality, Luca, and he drives the rest of the lads on. He’s got some real qualities as well. I thought he was excellent tonight.”
Davis has been in fine form for Everton’s U21s this season, having recorded a goal and an assist in the final Premier League 2 games of the season.
The 19-year-old has been a real force down the right side of the pitch and provided an attacking threat, which is lacking in Moyes’ current squad.
It is not just the right-back’s form which makes him a contender to make an impact on Moyes’ first team, though.
Davis possesses Coleman-like leadership skills
James Tarkowski hailed Coleman’s leadership behind the scenes at Finch Farm.
As Tait said in his post-match interview, Davis is a ‘really good personality’ and he ‘drives the rest of the lads on’.
Does that sound familiar? Because that sounds a lot like Coleman from everything his Everton teammates have said.
The work Davis would have to put in on Merseyside to be half the Everton servant Coleman has been cannot be underestimated.
However, it is exciting that Tait paid special praise to Davis’ qualities off the ball.
Moyes wants Everton to sign a new right-back, which does potentially open the door for Davis to make a strong impression on the 63-year-old boss over the summer.
