Mo Salah injury update after Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

The manager of Egypt’s national team has claimed Mo Salah is likely to have played his last game for Liverpool.

The winger limped off in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Crystal Palace with a suspected hamstring injury. Salah will bring the curtain down on his nine-year Anfield career at the end of the season, having mutually agreed to terminate his contract.

With four games of the 2025-26 campaign remaining, there are fears among fans that Liverpool’s third-all time top goalscorer may not play another game. With Salah due to captain Egypt at this summer’s World Cup, there will also be trepidation in his homeland. According to Pharaohs boss Ibrahim Hassan, Salah could face four weeks on the sidelines.

"Mohamed Salah's injury is a muscle tear and he will be out of action for four weeks,” he told FilGoal. "The technical staff of the Egyptian national team will monitor the developments in his condition, and God willing, he will be present at the World Cup as normal.”

Speaking after the Palace victory, which moved Liverpool up to fourth in the Premier League table, head coach Arne Slot said: "We don't know, that's the best answer I can give because if I say it might be a chance then probably all the headlines are, 'there might be a chance…'

“We simply don't know but what we do know is the season is in four weeks over, so there are not a lot of games being played.

"We have to wait and see how his injury is and if he is able to return to play. "What I do know about Mo is throughout all of these years he has taken such good care of his body that he will have the minimum time required to recover from an injury. "Let's hope for the best and that he is available in the last part [of the season]."
