Gallery: ‘Referees favourable to Inter’, ‘Milan-Juve worth €60m’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

**Today’s clash between AC Milan and Juventus has been overshadowed by a potential scandal involving the referees, with current referee designator Gianluca Rocchi under investigation.**

The news dropped like a bomb yesterday as it was revealed that Rocchi is under investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office in Milan. Supposedly, the 52-year-old has assigned referees who are favourable to Inter to their games, while pressure has also been applied on VAR to make ‘right’ decisions.

While two of the three Inter games mentioned in the investigation ([**Milan’s 3-0 win in the Coppa**](https://sempremilan.com/inter-0-3-ac-milan-1-4-agg-match-report) being one) were lost by the Nerazzurri, it’s the influence that has sparked the investigation (not so much the outcome). In fact, some are even suggesting that we could be looking at Calciopoli 2.0.

Naturally, therefore, the front pages were mostly covered with the big news as opposed to the big game between Milan and Juventus tonight. There was some space for the game, though, highlighting the importance of it.
