Liverpool are ready to go big in another transfer window this summer as they close in on Champions League football, and they are willing to use all their resources to get some deals done.
The Reds are prepared to lose Mohamed Salah in attack when he departs at the end of the season, and have identified RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande as their top target to replace him, although the Bundesliga side have slapped a huge £87m asking price on his head to fend off interest.
But Liverpool are not prepared to give up so easily, and it has now emerged that they are ready to use stars in their current squad to help get a deal over the line.

According to Football Insider journalist Pete O'Rourke, Liverpool are planning to use their strong relationship with Leipzig in order to get a deal that suits them in negotiations for the Ivorian.
The Anfield club have previously signed Ibrahima Konate in a £35m deal and Dominik Szoboszlai for £60m from Leipzig, and O'Rourke believes that they are hopeful that will give them an edge in negotiations, with talks already held about a transfer.
"Liverpool do have a good relationship with Leipzig, having signed the likes of Szoboszlai and Konate over the years," he said.
“They’ll be hoping that will give them an advantage in any negotiations for the winger. It’s not going to be a cheap deal. Leipzig don’t really want to lose him.”
Several other clubs are also keen on a deal for Diomande, including Manchester United and Manchester City, who are reportedly ready to smash their transfer record to sign the 19-year-old, but the winger has stated that his dream is to move to Merseyside.

Liverpool have a lot of gaping holes in their squad at the moment due to injuries and players coming to the end of their time at the club, but a new winger or two must be an absolute priority for Slot going into the new season.
It's rare that a player with the ability of Diomande is also still so raw and so young, and the African sensation is someone who is going to be among the very best in the world in years to come as he continues to develop and improve.
Liverpool would be silly to let him go anywhere else, knowing they have the relationship with Leipzig and that he wants to join, so using those things to their advantage is the right thing to do. Now it's down to the club bosses to find an agreement and get him through the door.
