David Moyes’ latest comments on Tomas Soucek suggest the West Ham midfielder could be leaving this summer.
Soucek was linked with a departure from the East London club last year before deciding to stay under Graham Potter.
The 31-year-old has since been a key component of the Hammers’ recent turnaround under Nuno Espirito Santo.
He has established a formidable partnership alongside Mateus Fernandes and scored a crucial goal against Everton.
However, Moyes may have dropped a hint about his intention to bring Soucek to Merseyside in the summer transfer window.
How should David Moyes be remembered at West Ham? 💭
European trophy winner? Boring football? Or something else? 🤔

TalkSPORT reported last month that Soucek will be looking for a new club when the transfer window opens.
The Czech Republic international has spent the last six years at West Ham and is supposedly ready for another challenge.

Soucek will also be entering the final year of his contract this summer, which could encourage the Hammers to sell him.
The report suggested Moyes’ Everton will be among the teams interested in signing Soucek if he decides to leave West Ham.
Moyes worked closely with the midfielder during his tenure at the London Stadium and appreciates his many qualities.
Now, the Scotsman’s comments about Soucek after Everton’s 2-1 defeat against West Ham on Saturday could be telling.
Moyes said, “He’s done brilliantly for West Ham. I think he’s come in for a little bit [of criticism] maybe over certain times, but his worth has been enormous because of his goals, the type of boy he is, and everything about him.
Is it time to let Tomas Soucek go? 👋
David Moyes wants to bring him to Everton…

“He epitomises a lot of things that you want as a coach; somebody who’s willing to work hard and does a lot of the unselfish jobs for the team…
“Tomas Soucek might not be the first pick as a technical football player, but because he can score and because he can head it out of the other box, he becomes really important in the team set-up.”
After those words, it is hard to imagine that Moyes would pass up on an opportunity to bring Soucek to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Hammers legend suits Moyes’ direct approach perfectly, and he may view Everton as a promotion, especially if they are in Europe next season.
